Yes, this is what's going on.

First off, congrats again to Dan for landing on his feet with a new career. I've been rooting for him, as we've all been, and while it's old news, I continue to be thankful for his continued success.

As for this place, I've taken a break from blogging, particularly my photo blog. After a false start, I've decided to place that on hold for a while.

I have a baby blog of sorts, mostly created for the family, but by putting energy into that, I've been less busy with my old spot here. I think I've found a pitch that works, though. I can be a little more candid here, since most people in the family aren't pointed to this blog... that's actually the main reason I created the new place.

As for the baby, we got a name for her, which I'll post eventually. The appointments come and go. We are told everything is going well. I'm very much in the "lull" of the second trimester. While at first excited, I feel now my free time is filled up with he minutae of preparing things. I've moved old couches out, moved new furniture in. The second bedroom in our apartment was an office during our grad school days, now so far in the past. Now it's the nursery, taking shape each day. This weekend, we hope to have it almost done.

Cheri has actually struggling to eat. Most foods are not too tasty, she reports, but at least she's not eating soap or the kitchen table.

Week 24 starts tomorrow... already something akin to a light year since week six, when we were pretty sure we were on this path.

Few things can be more dramatic.

Continued best wishes.

Echoed. And thanks for the congrats. Also - I recall weeks 24-26 being kind of a big deal, since Cheri's precious cargo is nearing around the age where, if something went wrong, she could actually come out. Not that she wouldn't be facing an entirely new set of challenges, but it's a pretty amazing milestone, nevertheless.

Thanks guys. It's been an interesting week. Cheri's feeling the baby kick all the time, and we walked away from parenting class more freaked out than when we walked in.
